White Paper on Sealant Technology for Door and Window Installation
The window frame-wall joint produces ±2mm/m displacement due to thermal expansion and contraction. Low modulus silicone glue (modulus ≤ 0.4MPa) is recommended, and its displacement capacity reaches ±50%, which is much better than polyurethane glue (±25%). In the -30℃ environmental test, the elasticity retention rate of silicone glue is 90%, while polyurethane glue is brittle and fractured.
Leakage risk prevention and control:
The “L-type continuous glue method” is used in the stress area of the window corner
The filling depth of the foam stick needs to reach 70% of the seam depth (avoid three-sided bonding)
Anti-sagging formula containing nano calcium carbonate (sag flow <3mm) is selected
