What is Silicone Sealant?
Silicone sealant is a paste made of polydimethylsiloxane as the main raw material, supplemented by cross-linking agents, fillers, plasticizers, coupling agents, and catalysts mixed under vacuum conditions. Once it comes into contact with moisture in the air, it will solidify into a tough rubber-like solid material.
Classification: Silicone sealants are divided into acidic and neutral sealants according to their acid-base properties. Acidic sealants are mainly used for general bonding between glass and other building materials. Neutral sealants overcome the characteristics of acidic sealants that corrode metal materials and react with alkaline materials, and can be directly used for metal and glass structures of glass curtain walls or non-structural bonding and assembly, so the quality requirements and product grades are the highest.
Color : Silicone sealant has a variety of colors, the most commonly used colors are black, porcelain white, transparent, silver gray, gray, and bronze. Other colors can be customized according to customer requirements.
