High-voltage components (＞1000V) must use silicone glue with a CTI value ≥600V. Inferior products can cause short circuits due to leakage and tracking in a humid environment. Addition silicone rubber is recommended for encapsulating LED driver power supplies:
Volume resistivity＞1×10¹⁵Ω·cm
Thermal conductivity ≥1.2W/(m·K) (reduce junction temperature by 15℃)
A photovoltaic inverter caused an arc fault to the ground during the rainy season due to the use of polyurethane encapsulation glue (CTI only 350V).
