Important applications of curing agents in adhesives

Curing agents are not only used to improve the quality of adhesives, but also open up many important applications in different fields:

Construction:
Tile adhesives, concrete and building materials often use hardeners to improve durability and load-bearing capacity. For example, amine-modified epoxy adhesives are often used as tile adhesives due to their good adhesion and resistance to humid environments. Polyurethane adhesives are used for bonding wood and plywood in interior construction.

Automotive industry:
Curing agents in epoxy or polyurethane glues are used to bond metal and plastic parts of automobiles to ensure safety and service life. For example, epoxy resin glues are used to bond composite panels.

Electronics:
UV curing agents are often used in the manufacture of electronic components to protect circuits from environmental influences. For example, they are used to coat printed circuit boards (PCBs).

Medical:
Biological curing agents are being studied for use in the medical field, especially in the production of instruments and implants.

Consumer goods:
Many products (such as furniture, shoes or toys) use glues containing hardeners to ensure durability and aesthetics.
